Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable General Cashier to join our finance team at Millennium Place Doha. The General Cashier will be responsible for handling all cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the security of cash assets. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Handling: Manage all cash transactions, including receiving payments, issuing receipts, and processing refunds.
  • Daily Reconciliation: Perform daily cash reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
  • Cash Deposits: Prepare and process bank deposits, ensuring timely and accurate handling of cash.
  • Petty Cash Management: Maintain and manage petty cash funds, ensuring proper documentation and authorization for disbursements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports related to cash transactions, deposits, and reconciliations.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure the security of cash assets by following established procedures and protocols, including secure storage and handling practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient cash management operations.
  • Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation and supporting information.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any cash-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certification in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cash handling or cashier role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions and financial records.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
