Job Summary:

We are seeking a personable and attentive Waiter to join our dynamic team at Anantara in Doha, Qatar. The Waiter will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests by delivering high-quality service and ensuring their satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Service: Provide a warm and friendly welcome to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from arrival to departure.
• Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders, offering recommendations and answering any questions about the menu.
• Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, adhering to Anantara’s service standards.
• Table Maintenance: Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, ensuring a tidy dining environment.
• Customer Interaction: Engage with guests to ensure their needs are met and address any concerns or requests with professionalism.
• Billing and Payment: Process bills and payments accurately, ensuring all transactions are handled securely.
• Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of orders.
• Upselling: Promote additional menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales.
• Complaint Resolution: Handle guest complaints or issues with a positive attitude, escalating to management when necessary.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certification in hospitality or related fields is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a waiter or in a customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
