Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Engineer to join our innovative team. The IT Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and supporting the technological needs of our business. Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Manage and maintain all IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications. Ensure system availability and performance through regular monitoring and maintenance.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly.
- Network Management: Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure to ensure robust and secure connectivity. Monitor network performance and optimize as necessary.
- Security: Implement and maintain IT security measures to protect company data and systems. Conduct regular security assessments and updates.
- Software Management: Install, configure, and update software applications. Manage software licenses and ensure compliance.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, procedures, and policies.
- Project Management: Assist in planning and executing IT projects to support business objectives. Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed.
- Training: Provide training and support to staff on IT systems and best practices. Promote IT security awareness within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT engineering or a similar role. Experience in the travel and tourism industry is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in network management, system administration, and IT security. Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as common software applications.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA, or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) are preferred.
- Personal Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
