National Emirates for Medical Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Male Caregiver to join our team. The Male Caregiver will provide essential support and assistance to patients, particularly male patients, who require personal care, companionship, and medical supervision. Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, according to the individual needs and preferences of male patients.
- Assist with mobility and transfer tasks, such as transferring patients from beds to wheelchairs or assisting with walking and exercise routines.
- Monitor and record vital signs, medication intake, and other relevant health information under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to male patients, engaging in meaningful conversations, recreational activities, and social interactions.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary management, ensuring that patients receive nutritious meals and adhere to dietary restrictions as prescribed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including organizing living spaces, changing bed linens, and ensuring proper hygiene and infection control measures are followed.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and therapists, to coordinate patient care and support treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to address concerns, provide updates on patient progress, and ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required. Certification or training in caregiving, nursing assistance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience working as a caregiver or similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting or with elderly or disabled individuals.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a genuine desire to help others and provide personalized care and support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Physical stamina and strength to assist with lifting, transferring, and providing hands-on care to patients as needed.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology, infection control practices, and safety protocols.
- Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Arabic or other languages is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet the needs of patients and the healthcare facility.
