As a Restaurant Supervisor at Bakerist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bakery and café. You will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, managing staff, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Supervising, training, and motivating staff to deliver high-quality service and maintain a positive work environment. This includes scheduling shifts, delegating tasks, and ensuring staff adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service: Ensuring excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and overseeing the overall dining experience to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Operations Oversight: Managing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant.
  • Quality Control: Monitoring food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure consistency with Bakerist’s quality standards. Conducting regular checks to maintain hygiene and safety standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Sales and Marketing: Assisting in the development and implementation of promotional strategies to increase sales and attract new customers. This may include coordinating special events, seasonal promotions, and community outreach.
  • Financial Management: Assisting with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. Monitoring sales, managing cash flow, and ensuring accurate record-keeping and financial transactions.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality ingredients and supplies. Managing relationships with vendors to negotiate favorable terms and resolve any supply issues.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing operational challenges promptly and effectively, finding solutions to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Financial acumen and experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Proficiency in using restaurant management software and POS systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
