Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and personalized service to all customers, assisting them with product selection, sizing, and styling advice. Create a positive shopping experience and build lasting relationships with customers.
- Sales Generation: Drive sales by actively engaging with customers, promoting current promotions and offers, and upselling additional items to enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintain the visual presentation of the store, ensuring that displays are neat, organized, and visually appealing. Assist with setting up window displays and ensuring all merchandise is properly tagged and displayed.
- Stock Management: Assist with stock replenishment, including unpacking deliveries, restocking shelves, and monitoring inventory levels. Conduct regular stocktakes and assist with stock transfers between stores as needed.
- Cash Handling: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system. Handle cash, credit card, and EFTPOS transactions while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Store Operations: Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation, security checks, and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of yd. products, including fabrics, fits, and styling details. Stay updated on current fashion trends and new arrivals to provide informed recommendations to customers.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service. Communicate effectively with management regarding customer feedback, sales trends, and operational issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous retail experience is preferred but not required. A passion for fashion and a willingness to learn are essential.
- Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to engage with customers and build rapport.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate product information and styling advice to customers.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment, contributing positively to team morale and supporting colleagues as needed.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing priorities and customer demands.
