Position Overview:
LUXLAIT Association Agricole is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Manager to join our team in Luxembourg. The Technical Manager will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of our dairy production facilities, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are functioning efficiently, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management: Oversee the day-to-day technical operations of the dairy production facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of equipment and machinery.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of technicians and maintenance personnel. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure optimal team performance.
- Equipment Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment. Ensure all machinery is properly calibrated and functioning efficiently.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all technical operations comply with industry safety standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
- Project Management: Plan and execute technical projects, such as equipment installations, facility expansions, or process improvements. Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors as needed.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the technical department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and technical innovations that can enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless operations and address technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical management role, preferably in the dairy or food production industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and technical diagnostic tools.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial safety standards and compliance regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French or German is a plus.
