Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Housekeeper to join our team at the Association Luxembourgeoise Alzheimer asbl. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for our residents and staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and related facilities.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out the trash.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food and kitchen supplies.
- Assist with meal preparation and serving as needed.
- Monitor and replenish kitchen supplies and inventory.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
- Provide assistance in setting up dining areas for meals and events.
- Support the overall mission of ALA by fostering a respectful and supportive environment for residents and staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a kitchen or housekeeping role, preferably in a healthcare or residential care setting.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Basic cooking skills and willingness to assist with meal preparation.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or German is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a care facility or similar environment.
- Certification in food safety or hygiene.
