Position Overview:
We are looking for diligent and compassionate Housekeepers to join our team at Bupa in various locations across New Zealand. Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, and facilities according to established protocols.
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and waste disposal.
- Ensure bathrooms and kitchens are cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and manage laundry services as required.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow infection control procedures and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as needed.
- Interact with residents and staff in a friendly and respectful manner.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
