Role Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our team at Marston’s Pubs. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our pub facilities, including guest rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and public spaces. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience during their visit to our pubs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Room Cleaning: Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and mopping floors.
  • Bathroom Cleaning: Ensure that bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, including scrubbing sinks, toilets, showers, and bath fixtures.
  • Public Area Cleaning: Clean and maintain dining areas, bars, lounges, and other public spaces to ensure a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests.
  • Linen Management: Collect dirty linens and towels from guest rooms and replace them with fresh ones. Transport dirty linens to the laundry area for washing and folding.
  • Restocking: Replenish supplies of toiletries, towels, and other amenities in guest rooms and public areas as needed.
  • Waste Disposal: Empty trash cans and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with company standards.
  • Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, damages, or deficiencies to the relevant supervisor or manager for prompt resolution.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful assistance to guests, responding promptly to any requests or concerns.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety procedures and guidelines, including the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact courteously and professionally with guests and colleagues.
  • Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team. Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
