Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Configuration: Installing and configuring telecom equipment, including routers, switches, PBX systems, and fiber optic cables, according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Maintenance and Repair: Conducting regular maintenance checks and repairs on telecom systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to telecom equipment and networks, providing prompt and effective solutions to maintain service continuity.
- Network Optimization: Assisting in the optimization of telecom networks by analyzing performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary upgrades and adjustments.
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of installations, configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting steps to ensure accurate documentation and facilitate future reference.
- Client Support: Providing technical support to clients, addressing their inquiries, and resolving issues related to telecom services with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, ensuring all telecom installations and operations comply with industry standards and legal guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other team members, including engineers, project managers, and sales personnel, to deliver integrated telecom solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a telecom technician or in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting telecom equipment and networks.
- Knowledge of telecom technologies, including VoIP, PBX systems, fiber optics, and wireless communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites within the United Arab Emirates.
