Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions to understand product specifications and requirements.
- Assemble components and parts using hand tools, power tools, and machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of assembled products, identifying and addressing any defects or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to troubleshoot issues, resolve problems, and optimize assembly processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the assembly area, including cleaning equipment, tools, and workspaces.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Adhere to production schedules and deadlines, meeting productivity targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Document assembly processes, record any issues or deviations, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, identifying shortages, and reporting discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Participate in training programs and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in assembly techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as an assembly technician or in a similar role in manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery for assembly tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
