Job Description:
As a Carpenter at Randstad Luxembourg, you will play an integral role in constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures for residential and commercial properties. - Education: High School or Diploma Degree
- Experience: 1-2 Basic Requirements
Your responsibilities may include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
- Assembling and installing wooden structures, cabinets, furniture, and fixtures according to design plans
- Fitting and attaching components using nails, screws, adhesives, and other fasteners
- Sanding, staining, and painting finished products to enhance their appearance and durability
- Inspecting finished work to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications
- Repairing and renovating existing wooden structures and fixtures as needed
- Collaborating with contractors, architects, and other tradespeople to coordinate work activities and achieve project objectives
- Following safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a carpenter or in a related woodworking trade
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and regulations
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor and work at heights
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
