We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Keeper to join our team at Luxembourg Children’s Village Foundation. As an Animal Keeper, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of various animals, including feeding, cleaning, health monitoring, and enrichment activities. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for animals and experience in animal care, who can create a safe and engaging environment for both animals and visitors.

Responsibilities:
- Feed and care for a variety of animals, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Clean and maintain animal enclosures, ensuring they are safe and sanitary.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Administer basic first aid and medication to animals as directed by veterinary staff.
- Provide educational tours and demonstrations to children and visitors, promoting animal care and welfare.
- Assist with the breeding and enrichment programs to ensure the well-being of the animals.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to animal care.
- Participate in planning and organizing special events or activities involving the animals.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a positive and cooperative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in animal care, farming, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of animal care techniques and safety protocols.
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic knowledge of French or Luxembourgish is required; additional languages are a plus.
