As an AutoCAD Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual designs into precise, detailed technical drawings that guide our projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Drawing Creation: Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software based on design briefs, client specifications, and project requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, architects, and project managers to understand project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations and design standards.
- Revisions and Updates: Modify and update drawings as necessary based on feedback from clients, designers, and regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Material and Specification Details: Integrate detailed information about materials, finishes, fixtures, and fittings into technical drawings, providing comprehensive documentation for construction and installation teams.
- Site Surveys and Measurements: Conduct on-site visits to gather measurements and data, translating this information into accurate and detailed drawings that reflect real-world conditions.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation, ensuring easy access and retrieval for project stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure that all drawings comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards, incorporating any necessary changes to meet these requirements.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on drawings to identify and rectify errors or omissions, ensuring the highest level of precision and reliability.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman, preferably in the interior design or architectural industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software; knowledge of other design software such as SketchUp, Revit, or 3ds Max is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
