The Luxembourg Blind Association Foundation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care Assistance: Provide daily living assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring clients’ comfort and dignity.
  • Mobility Support: Assist clients with mobility and orientation, including guiding them safely through various environments and supporting their use of mobility aids.
  • Health Monitoring: Monitor clients’ health conditions, report any changes to healthcare professionals, and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in meaningful activities and conversations to promote mental well-being.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to clients’ dietary needs and preferences, ensuring they receive balanced and healthy nourishment.
  • Household Tasks: Assist with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.
  • Transportation Assistance: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities, and errands, ensuring their safety and comfort during travel.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, clients’ progress, and any significant changes in their condition.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in caregiving or healthcare assistance is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in caregiving, particularly with visually impaired or disabled individuals.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and supporting clients.
    • Knowledge of basic health care and emergency response.
    • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Languages: Fluency in English; proficiency in Luxembourgish, French, or German is highly desirable.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and ability to drive clients as needed.
