Position Summary:

ARM Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Engineer to join our team. The Construction Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules. Identify project requirements, goals, and constraints.
  • Design Review: Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Site Supervision: Provide on-site supervision and coordination of construction activities, including monitoring progress, resolving issues, and ensuring quality control and safety compliance.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts, subcontractors, and suppliers, including procurement, negotiation, and administration of contracts. Ensure that all parties adhere to contractual obligations and deadlines.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment resources to optimize project efficiency and productivity. Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as necessary to meet project objectives.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams, including resolving technical issues, interpreting engineering drawings, and implementing engineering solutions.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, including safety hazards, design errors, and schedule delays. Develop contingency plans and strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, change orders, and as-built drawings. Ensure that all project documentation is complete, organized, and accessible.
  • Client Communication: Communicate regularly with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback. Maintain positive relationships and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction engineering or project management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering tools. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall is an advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership Ability: Demonstrated leadership ability, with the confidence and capability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive project success.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and deadlines. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
