Role Overview:

As an Instructional Designer at Primary ITO, you will be at the forefront of creating engaging, effective, and industry-relevant learning experiences. Your role will involve designing and developing educational materials and programs that cater to the needs of learners across New Zealand’s primary industries. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and industry stakeholders to ensure our training solutions are of the highest standard and meet the evolving demands of the sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programs, including e-learning modules, workshops, and assessment tools, aligned with industry standards and learner needs.
  • Instructional Design: Apply instructional design principles to create interactive and engaging learning materials that enhance knowledge retention and practical application.
  • Content Creation: Develop high-quality, accessible educational content in various formats, including digital, print, and multimedia.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, educators, and industry partners to gather insights and ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in instructional design and educational technology, incorporating best practices into your work.
  • Learner Assessment: Design and implement effective assessment strategies to evaluate learner progress and program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related field, preferably within the education or primary industries.
  • Education: A relevant tertiary qualification in instructional design, education, or a related discipline.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an accessible and engaging manner.
  • Innovation: A creative approach to problem-solving and a passion for developing innovative educational solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
