We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Administrator to join our team at Maven Technology. The IT Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities:
- Network Management: Maintain and manage the company’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain servers, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and availability.
- System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and network activity, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect the company’s IT assets, including antivirus software, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- User Support: Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and offering solutions to ensure smooth operations.
- Data Backup and Recovery: Manage data backup procedures and ensure the integrity and availability of data through regular testing and maintenance of backup systems.
- Software Management: Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for the procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
- IT Projects: Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to IT operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT administration or a related role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of network and server management, including experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency in managing virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security measures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
