Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing the flow of goods and materials from our production facilities to our customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires strong logistical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipment Coordination: Plan and coordinate the logistics of product shipments, ensuring timely delivery to customers. Arrange transportation, negotiate with carriers, and monitor shipment status.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure adequate stock levels. Manage stock movement and track inventory metrics.
• Documentation: Prepare and manage shipping and export documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between suppliers, freight forwarders, and customers. Provide regular updates on shipment status and address any issues or delays promptly.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control logistics costs, negotiating rates with carriers and optimizing shipping routes to achieve cost savings. Prepare and analyze logistics cost reports.
• Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve logistical issues and discrepancies. Implement corrective actions and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
• Compliance: Ensure all logistics operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and international trade laws. Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
• Data Analysis: Utilize logistics software to track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators. Provide insights and recommendations for improving logistics efficiency and effectiveness.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any delivery issues. Maintain positive relationships with customers and ensure their satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics coordination or a similar role, preferably within the lubricants or oil industry.
• Skills: Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Customer-focused with a commitment to service excellence.
