Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and directions from the chefs.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. This includes washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring that kitchen equipment is properly sanitized.
- Inventory Management: Help with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring that all ingredients are stored correctly and inventory levels are monitored.
- Waste Management: Dispose of kitchen waste responsibly, adhering to recycling and waste management protocols.
- Assistance to Chefs: Support the chefs by fetching ingredients, utensils, and other items needed during food preparation and cooking. Assist in plating dishes during service times.
- Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including food hygiene standards, to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure a seamless and efficient kitchen operation.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety practices. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift heavy objects (up to 25 pounds).
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently under pressure. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
- Language Proficiency: Basic proficiency in English; knowledge of French, German, or Luxembourgish is an asset.
- Work Eligibility: Valid work authorization for Luxembourg.
