Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. The Land Surveyor will be responsible for conducting precise land surveys, gathering data, and creating detailed maps and reports to support our construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Surveying Operations: Conduct field surveys to measure and map the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features. Utilize advanced surveying instruments and technologies such as GPS, total stations, and GIS.
  • Data Collection: Accurately collect and record survey data, including measurements of distances, angles, and elevations. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data collected in the field.
  • Boundary Identification: Determine property boundaries by researching legal records, historical maps, and previous survey data. Mark and document boundary lines on-site.
  • Topographic Surveys: Perform topographic surveys to detail the physical features of the land, including natural and man-made structures. Create detailed topographic maps and profiles.
  • Construction Support: Provide surveying support for construction projects, including staking out reference points and markers to guide construction activities. Ensure alignment and grading are executed according to project specifications.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare comprehensive survey reports, maps, sketches, and other documentation. Present findings to project managers, engineers, and clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all surveying activities comply with local regulations, standards, and safety guidelines. Maintain awareness of changes in land surveying practices and technology.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction managers, to ensure accurate and timely survey data is provided.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software, including GPS, total stations, GIS, and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of land surveying principles and techniques.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex survey data accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and precision in conducting surveys and preparing documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to clients and team members.
  • Professionalism: Strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly Arabic, is an advantage.
  • Licensing: Valid land surveyor certification or license is preferred.
