The Product Packer at XS Items is responsible for ensuring that products are packed securely and efficiently for shipment to customers. Key Responsibilities:
Packing and Packaging:
- Carefully pack products according to company guidelines, ensuring items are protected and secure.
- Use appropriate packing materials and techniques to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information and product details.
Quality Control:
- Inspect products for defects or damage before packing.
- Ensure that all packed products meet the company’s quality standards.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
Inventory Management:
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
- Ensure that packing materials are well-stocked and request additional supplies as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean packing area.
Efficiency and Accuracy:
- Meet daily packing quotas and productivity targets.
- Double-check orders for accuracy before shipment.
- Keep detailed records of packed and shipped items.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Support other departments as needed, including assisting with receiving and stocking inventory.
Health and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate packing equipment and tools safely and correctly.
- Report any health and safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a packing, warehouse, or similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting.
