Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Centre Operator to join our team at Ballance Agri-Nutrients. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. You will manage the daily operations of our service centre, ensuring the efficient handling of products and services to meet our customers’ needs. This role demands strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, and a genuine passion for supporting the agricultural community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers with inquiries, orders, and product information.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system.
  • Manage inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service centre environment.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize stock levels and delivery schedules.
  • Provide support for promotional activities and seasonal campaigns.
  • Address customer concerns and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or retail role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and moving products.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and peak seasonal periods.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of agricultural products and services is an advantage but not essential.
