Position Overview:
As a Warehouse Worker at Ameublements Thill, you will play a vital role in the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution center. Working as part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of furniture products to our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of furniture products, verifying their accuracy and condition.
- Unload, unpack, and inspect furniture items, recording any damages or discrepancies.
- Safely store furniture products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.
- Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery to clients, including picking, packing, and labeling items according to order specifications.
- Load furniture products onto delivery trucks or arrange for shipment with external carriers, ensuring proper handling and secure packaging.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of furniture items as needed for storage or transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to fulfill orders and meet delivery deadlines.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Uphold strict safety standards and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid forklift certification (preferred but not required).
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy furniture items.
