We are seeking a talented and experienced Auto Mechanic to join our team at Garage Schmit & Fils s.à.r.l. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service and care.   • Experience: 1-2 Basic Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify and address potential problems.
  • Repair and replace faulty parts and components, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Perform alignment and suspension work to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair needs and provide cost estimates.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and training to ensure the highest level of service.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Certification from a recognized automotive training program is preferred.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or German is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASE certification or equivalent automotive certification.
  • Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
