We are seeking a talented and experienced Auto Mechanic to join our team at Garage Schmit & Fils s.à.r.l. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and software.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify and address potential problems.
- Repair and replace faulty parts and components, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Perform alignment and suspension work to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair needs and provide cost estimates.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and training to ensure the highest level of service.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Certification from a recognized automotive training program is preferred.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or German is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE certification or equivalent automotive certification.
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
