Job Overview:
Solina Boys’ Home asbl is seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our team in Luxembourg. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for crafting and repairing wooden structures, furniture, and other carpentry projects within our facility. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for teaching and mentoring young individuals. Responsibilities:
- Craft and repair wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures according to specifications and blueprints.
- Collaborate with other team members to design and execute carpentry projects.
- Train and mentor young boys in carpentry skills, providing guidance and supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Inspect completed projects to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain inventory of carpentry supplies and tools, coordinating with management for replenishment.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure proper handling of carpentry tools and equipment.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on carpentry techniques and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in carpentry or woodworking.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring young individuals.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends, if required.
- Fluency in French or German is required; additional languages such as English or Luxembourgish are a plus.
