Job Overview:

Solina Boys’ Home asbl is seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our team in Luxembourg. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for crafting and repairing wooden structures, furniture, and other carpentry projects within our facility. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for teaching and mentoring young individuals. The ideal candidate has experience in carpentry, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

  • Experience: 1-2 Basic Requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Craft and repair wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with other team members to design and execute carpentry projects.
  • Train and mentor young boys in carpentry skills, providing guidance and supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Inspect completed projects to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory of carpentry supplies and tools, coordinating with management for replenishment.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure proper handling of carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on carpentry techniques and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in carpentry or woodworking.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring young individuals.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends, if required.
  • Fluency in French or German is required; additional languages such as English or Luxembourgish are a plus.
