Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team at Mosaic Lebanese Restaurant. The Cashier will be responsible for handling financial transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process. Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Processing: Accurately process customer orders and payments using the POS system, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly as they arrive at the checkout counter, answer any questions they may have about the menu or services, and ensure a positive and friendly interaction.
  • Receipt Handling: Issue receipts, refunds, credits, and change due to customers, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and efficiently.
  • Cash Management: Maintain accurate cash drawers, perform regular cash counts, and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift to ensure there are no discrepancies.
  • Sales Recording: Keep accurate records of sales transactions, ensuring all items are scanned and priced correctly, and report any discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
  • Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist customers with their selections and answer any questions they may have.
  • Customer Assistance: Assist customers with any special requests or dietary needs, coordinating with the kitchen staff as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including restocking supplies, organizing menus, and ensuring the counter is tidy and presentable.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional and courteous manner, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members, including waitstaff and kitchen staff, to ensure a seamless and efficient dining experience for all guests.


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic is an advantage.
  • Professional appearance and attitude, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • UAE residency or valid work permit required.
