Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join our finance team. As a Finance Assistant at FAM Recycling FZCO, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and assisting with various accounting tasks. Your role will involve working closely with the finance team to maintain financial health and compliance, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and transactions.
  • Data Entry: Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial information is accurately recorded in the accounting system.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable, including verifying, coding, and posting invoices and payments.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Assist with bank reconciliations by comparing bank statements with internal records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Expense Reporting: Process and review employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Budgeting Support: Support the finance team in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing documents and records for internal and external audits.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Administrative Tasks: Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, photocopying, and other clerical duties.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred but not essential; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
