Job Description:
As a Cashier at Adecco Luxembourg, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient transactions for our clients’ customers. Your responsibilities may include:
- Greeting customers warmly and engaging with them in a friendly and courteous manner
- Scanning and processing items accurately and efficiently at the checkout counter
- Handling cash, credit card, and other forms of payment securely and following proper procedures
- Providing information about products, promotions, and store policies to customers as needed
- Bagging purchases and arranging them neatly for customers
- Verifying age-restricted purchases such as alcohol or tobacco products according to legal requirements
- Balancing cash registers and reconciling sales transactions at the end of each shift
- Assisting with inventory management tasks such as restocking shelves and monitoring product levels
- Resolving customer complaints or concerns promptly and escalating issues to supervisors as needed
- Following safety and security procedures to prevent theft, fraud, and other risks
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
