Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced ESL Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ESL Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English language lessons to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the overall success of our language programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners. Ensure lessons are aligned with the curriculum and designed to achieve specific learning objectives.
- Instruction: Deliver high-quality English language instruction to students at various proficiency levels. Use a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage students and enhance learning.
- Assessment: Assess students’ language abilities through tests, quizzes, and other evaluation methods. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. Address behavioral issues promptly and professionally.
- Student Support: Provide additional support and resources to students as needed. Hold regular office hours to assist students with their learning needs.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities. Stay current with best practices in ESL teaching and incorporate new strategies into the classroom.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to develop and enhance the language programs. Attend staff meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects and values the diverse backgrounds of our students.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Certification: TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language. Experience teaching in an international context is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in classroom technology and online teaching tools.
- Personal Attributes: Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
