Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of medical supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring accurate record-keeping and optimal stock levels.
  • Order Processing: Coordinate the ordering, receiving, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and deliveries.
  • Stock Control: Conduct regular stock counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracy. Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions to resolve inventory issues.
  • Data Entry: Maintain up-to-date inventory records in the inventory management system. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and inventory data is consistently updated.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies. Address any supply chain issues and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze inventory reports to monitor stock levels, usage patterns, and trends. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize inventory management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to inventory management. Adhere to health and safety guidelines in the handling and storage of medical supplies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the procurement team, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to understand inventory needs and ensure the availability of essential supplies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in inventory management. Participate in initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, supply chain, or a related field is preferred. Experience in a healthcare environment is an advantage.
  • Education: A diploma or degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is desirable. Relevant certifications in inventory management are a plus.
  • Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong organizational and data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with suppliers, team members, and healthcare professionals.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capacity to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
