Role Summary
As a Junior Engineering Maintenance Assistant at The Emirates Group, you will be an essential member of our engineering team, supporting the maintenance and repair operations of our fleet and facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Support Maintenance Operations: Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on aircraft, equipment, and facilities under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Inspection and Testing: Help conduct inspections and tests to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring that necessary items are available for maintenance tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Technical Assistance: Provide technical support and assistance to the engineering team, helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
- Training and Development: Participate in training programs to enhance your technical skills and stay updated with the latest industry standards and practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A diploma or degree in engineering, mechanics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering support role is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems; familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in performing maintenance tasks and recording information.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
