Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Processing: Efficiently handle customer transactions, including cash, credit/debit card payments, and other forms of payment.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist with inquiries, and provide a high level of customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Cash Management: Accurately manage cash registers, including balancing cash drawers, making change, and handling discrepancies.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about products and promotions to assist customers with their purchases and provide relevant information.
- Store Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock supplies as needed, and follow store policies and procedures.
- Problem Resolution: Address customer issues and complaints professionally, escalating to supervisors when necessary to ensure satisfactory resolutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
