Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Cleaner to join our team at Motel One. As a Public Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of all public areas within the hotel, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for our guests. Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning Duties: Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, staircases, and lounges. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Ensure that restrooms are kept clean, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies like toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
  • Trash Management: Empty and clean trash receptacles in public areas regularly. Ensure proper disposal and recycling procedures are followed.
  • Supply Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed. Report supply shortages to the supervisor.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and cleaning carts. Report any equipment malfunctions or damages to the relevant department.
  • Inspection: Conduct routine inspections of public areas to ensure cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines. Use cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly, following all instructions and protocols.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and courteous assistance to guests as needed. Respond promptly to any guest requests or concerns regarding the cleanliness of public areas.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other housekeeping and hotel staff to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel. Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and prioritize workload.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact courteously and professionally with guests and colleagues.
  • Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team. Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the hotel.
