Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning Duties:
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the store, including sales floors, restrooms, staff areas, and storage rooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a spotless environment.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
Health and Safety:
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
- Report any hazards, accidents, or maintenance issues to the Store Manager immediately.
Store Presentation:
- Ensure that the store is presented to the highest standard at all times.
- Arrange and organize cleaning supplies and equipment neatly.
- Assist with setting up promotional displays and maintaining their cleanliness.
Customer Interaction:
- Provide friendly and helpful service to customers when required.
- Assist customers with inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other store staff to achieve a clean and welcoming environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on store cleanliness and presentation.
- Support other departments as needed, including assisting with restocking and organizing inventory.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting.
