Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and Assistance: Welcome patients and visitors upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and positive experience. Assist with inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel.
  • Appointment Management: Schedule and confirm appointments for patients. Maintain an organized and up-to-date appointment calendar to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Telephone Handling: Answer and manage incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner. Address patient inquiries, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members.
  • Patient Registration: Assist patients with the registration process, ensuring all necessary information is accurately recorded. Verify patient details and update records as needed.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the front office and other departments. This includes filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Billing and Payments: Handle patient billing and payment processes. Assist with insurance verification and processing claims as required.
  • Facility Coordination: Maintain the reception area and ensure it is clean, tidy, and well-organized. Monitor and manage supplies for the front office.
  • Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information at all times. Adhere to NMC Healthcare’s privacy policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification in office administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Personal Attributes: Professional appearance and demeanor. Friendly, patient-oriented, and able to work under pressure. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
