We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team at the Commune of Bertrange. Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Daily Activities: Support residents in their daily activities, including meal preparation, feeding, mobility assistance, and medication reminders.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and comforting environment.
- Health Monitoring: Monitor residents’ health and report any changes in their condition to the healthcare team.
- Household Tasks: Assist with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment.
- Recreational Activities: Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote their physical and mental well-being.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and residents’ progress, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other care assistants, healthcare professionals, and family members to provide comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a caregiving or support role is preferred but not required.
- A caring and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in helping others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare practices and principles is an advantage.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Fluency in French or German; knowledge of Luxembourgish or English is a plus.
- Relevant certification or training in caregiving is an advantage but not mandatory.
